(More customer reviews)...though I haven't had many vacuums. This vacuum, as far as I can tell, has excellent suction that picks up all my pet hair (I have two long-haired Maine Coons) and the pet-paw attachment is fantastic for furniture, pillows, the cat tree, etc.

The "self cleaning" duster attachment, however, sucks; it's easier to clean the duster with the hose than with the special chamber they built for it. Also, the lever they installed to direct the suction to the duster-chamber broke off recently and I can't even superglue it back on because of the kind of plastic it's made of.

For the price I paid ($130 at Walmart), great vacuum though I suspect it won't last many years like a more quality one might.

(More customer reviews)I think that I have tried every option available for pet hair removal. My favorite has always been packing tape. I was very skeptical when I purchased one of these Pledge Pet Hair Sweepers and I became even more skeptical when I opened the box - it seemed rather flimsy.

Once I tried it, however, I became a surprised believer. This little thing works very well! I first tried it on a coverlet that appeared fairly hair free. The Pet hair Sweeper found more cat hair and, sure enough, it appeared in the 'hair catcher'.Next, I used it on a cat blanket that was, of course, covered with a heavy layer of hair. Voila! The Pet Hair Sweeper worked once again!

Now I want to buy more of these! I noticed a three pack through Amazon that might be a good purchase. This is a gadget that will not release the hair back into the house. When the top container becomes full you toss the 'sweeper' into the trash. No mess. No Fuss. All in all this is a far better product that I would have imagined it to be !

(More customer reviews)First off, I really wanted to give this product 5 stars, but there's one big reason I can't. Once the little container on the back is full, it's meant to be tossed.In my house - it lasted about 2 minutes and would end up costing us a fortune. However, with a little creativity you can make this product re-usable.

Had Pledge done that originally, and even sold it for twice the price, it would be a 5 star product. I agree with the prior review that there is NO reason they couldn't have done that. But yes, the product does say not to attempt to disassemble in any way.

This product worked wonderfully. Once I figured out how to empty and re-use it, it saved me HOURS of vacuuming furniture.I have a very large dog that is free to roam our home and sheds constantly.I used the product on many types of fabrics including a corduroy couch, microfiber/microsuede couch, pillows, cotton comforters, etc. It worked like a charm and was practically effortless.

The clear plastic container area on the back filled up in about 2 minutes. It is "riveted" on and cannot be removed. At the point it is full it's meant to be tossed. Not worth the $5 price for 2 minutes of work.However, I very carefully popped off one end of one of the rollers and was able to empty the container and then re-use the product. That could easily wear down or break the fasteners so in the end, to save time and money, we cut a U-shaped slit in the top of the clear plastic area and can open and close it to empty it and re-use. It took some manipulating to make sure the edges weren't sharp, but we made it work.

I really do think functionally this is a 5 star product but couldn't give it such for the mere fact that it's meant to be a throw away, and not re-used.

I love this pack it eats the hair right off of the couch like Cookie Monster getting a cookie!!:) I was looking to get another vaccum but my vaccum has great power and suction and I hatted to just throw it out so I thought I would try this first 30.00 for this compared to 130.00 for a new vac.. is worth a try. It put money in my pocket.. There was nothing wrong with my vac it just need a little help, and the Bissell Pet Pack did and does the job right....

The very first day we received the brush and broom we tried it and it worked great to removed the cat fur. It works much better than just the vacuum or lint roller that we had been using.
